A proposed development to benefit the community of East Palo Alto, bringing it the much needed retail services, such as an anchor supermarket, a drug store, specialty stores and a restaurant. The site was a long vacant lot in the center of the community at the two main crossroads.

Project was to add 65,000 SF commercial and 10,000 SF office space. Program was to have lasting impact on the community through providing a much needed grocery store. Architectural design strived to provide the community with pride of place through the plan, detailing and materials. In partner with architect Alan Ohashi, the proposal was for Washingtonia Development, Inc.
